Do you wonder why you can place the keys somewhere then forget where they were placed ten minutes later? Do you find it hard to remember your dc's names so you shout "Hey, you! Get down from there!" or "You know who you are. Get in here!" when you are in public or in the home? Do you wonder why you can park the van in the grocery store parking lot then find it necessary to press your key's alert button so that you can follow the sound of your alarm in order to remember where you parked? Do you find that you can't remember what day it is or if you are coming or going? Well, according to researchers (via the morning show), mommies have a reason to be. They reported that the mixture of all of the female hormones; progesterone, estrogen, thrown together with a mix of oxytocin from a nursing mommy makes us have mommy brain. Go figure! LOL! I wonder how long it took them to get that analysis. I'm sure that a man was the head of the research team. Ha! So, ladies, we now have a diagnosis. Your dh's can rest easy tonight. Don't forget to tell them this great news. ;-)

So I have 'mommy brain'? I like the sound of that better than just thinking I'm getting old. Thanks Kysha!
So that's what they call it?
I thought it was just overload. Too many things to remember.
What else was I going to say???
I've been calling it "mommy brain" for years! Of course, I was never pregnant with my children. I think sleep deprivation must have similar effects 'cuz it seems to level the playing field for all of us!

Oh, I definately have Mommy- brain. Also sleep deprivation!
LOL..I have actually heard of this before..pfftttt..apparently the more children you have the worse it gets! Your brain has to make space for the care of a new child..interesting stuff...I guess that explains why I am always having "blonde moments"...another thing to blame on hormones! LOL
I can't be cured of "mommy brain" because it's the "mommy brain" that knows where my son's church socks are, and what tie matches with my husband's suit and how much milk is left in the fridge. Besides, I'm the only one who knows what's for dinner!
Sleep deprivations doesn't help. Sigh. I lost half my brain after my first child was born. I'm still looking for it. :)
What? What are you talking about? I can't remember, now what was it you said? and what blog am I visiting?
ha ha ha ha!! I'm so glad they let me in on the secret!
That is SO funny! It's a privilege to lose my mind for my children!
Thanks for the post, Kysha. You made me laugh! A merry heart.. Michelle
