(Click to enlarge)So do you like our new bulletin board? :D Actually, this is a just a template for it. Since we are out of town, I decided to create the template or rough draft for it and then we could get it started on returning home. Isn't this a neat idea? I borrowed this from
Candace. She has some of the neatest ideas and the most adorable children. Her sweet personality just comes across so well through her blog. Anyway, I thought her bulletin along with her prayer door was an excellent idea although we tweaked it just a little according to our studies. We have a section for poetry/poet study, composer study, art/artist study and scientist study that we will study each month. Initially, we were going to study a new work each term but my dc LOVE this stuff so we have to change this out each month. We are going to do the prayer door idea that she displayed on her blog also. That is just such a wonderful way to encourage our children to pray for others.
I'm still tweaking our list of poetry/poets, scientists, composers and art/artists for the upcoming year. I'm trying to narrow down our list and it's so hard! :(
There are so many great people in our history.

I'm glad to know that I am not the only one that suffers with "blog thievery" issues.;)
And you are right, there are so many great people in history. The older I get, they become more and more interesting to me. I wish I had cared as much about learning about them when I was younger.
Happy Labor Day weekend, Kysha!
God Bless,
Amy:)
Oh, do post pictures of your Bulletin Board all filled up! I love this sort of thing but rarely keep it up once I start...

You amaze me, Kysha! I just know that your homeschool is filled with fun!
What a great idea :) I love the prayer door!
Thanks for the sweet words, Kysha! I'm excited to see your bulletin board when you get it all put up! :)
OH THANKS! I have been trying to figure out a way to get this subjects all displayed together for our family circle time!! Going to look at her blog now :D
How are things? Are you having fun????
Very cool!
I love that idea. My kids love history. You are right there are so many great people in history. Hope you are having a great vacation.
That's a great idea. Be sure to post more pics when it gets full. Narrowing it down is SO HARD. I told Baby Boy he's going to have to stay with me for 10 more years because I keep running out of time with all the stuff I want to share with him.
Good thing we promote life-long learning! ;-)
We have used the "Lives of..." series of books. Lives of the Artist, and Lives of the Composers and will be doing Lives of the Writers this year. Just be careful and pre-read...as some of them lead a different life!!
