We created new time lines for our history. We had notebook style time lines which were basically printed forms to fill in but I really liked the ones shown during last week's HOTM Virtual Homeschool Conference by Amy Pak of Homeschool In The Woods so we decided to try them. They are made from card stock and the seams are taped with clear packaging tape. The dates were written on the line which is tape also. I love the way that they are easily foldable so we can put them into our binders or a even a pocket for easy storage. We will update them by adding more card stock paper and dated figures as we learn each week. These were really fun and easy to make.

These are great! I started to make timelines similar to the Homeschool in the Woods layout, but my boys (the two oldest) are not at all interested in making timelines, doing lapbooks, or anything like that, so I haven't pushed it. The girls, on the other hand, will make projects all day long! This post has inspired me to try it again this year!

They look great!
What a great idea! I will have to remember that to use when my dd gets older. Thanks for sharing.:)
Great job! So creative.:)
They look so nice, I can see how pleased your boys are with their efforts.
How nice. I've been looking for a good timeline. Cute baby pictures in the background as well. :-)
That's the same kind of time line we have too, except I made the center line and date on the computer and printed it out on the card stock.
It's hands down the best method and it's such a nice way to see everything in a more realistic perspective. We kept having to turn pages in our notebook time line and it just sort of defeated the purpose of having one.
I love the slide show. The boys are so cute!
Hey girlfriend,
I can't wait to use my History through the Ages. My darlings will make their timeline via Power Point.
